I'm planning to drive my 18 with the Hellion top mount and dual Fore pumps on a 3 hours drive (one way). 95% of the drive will be on a highway, and will be doing 60-70mph constant cruise and maybe on cruise control. Will be keeping it on the highest gear (6th) and low rpm. Do you think that is doable ? What are my risks ? and did anyone did such a trip with this setup ? I do have the option of towing it with my truck, but I'm just trying to see if I go with the first option. Thanks!

I'm not sure what the question is? Are you asking us to tell you how reliable your car will be over the internet?
I'm basically asking if a gen 3 coyote with TT (top mount) can handle a 3 hours constant drive assuming that there will be no engine abuse on the way and 95% of the drive is on a highway.

I'm also asking if someone drove for multiple hours "on this setup" (Hellion TT top mount), and if so, did all go well or they had issues ? maybe with over heating, etc...

I think ambient temp is a big factor in this equation. Some believe that the return style fuel system may present an issue on an extended drive like that, but I have yet to see any actual reports of this

Plenty of smoking hot fully saturated PD blowers sitting directly on top of the engine driving long distances out there. You'll be fine.

I drove my top mount twin turbo Fox 5 hours across Colorado mountain passes in the summer on several occasions with no issues. This was a hand built kit, using turbos without water cooling, no intercooler, carbureted with a return fuel system. Modern cars are so much better with respect to cooling and engine safety. Overheating is not really an issue unless you are making long pulls. With normal driving, turbos are very reliable.

I doubt the turbo system would give you any issues, depending on how your fuel system is set up and how many pumps are constantly running, I’d want to keep the tanks full as possible as much as possible to keep the pumps/fuel as cool as possible, and minimize the worrynof fuel starvation from slosh if you get the desire to run it hard on low fuel. also depending on if you’re running e85, you might want to plan your fuel stops in advance. My Whipple cars on E85 aren’t making a 3 hour drive on one tank.

I drive mine 5hrs to the beach. The car is N/A until you get to zero vacuum and close the blowoff valves. The turbos at cruising speed are not turning that fast.
