I was hoping someone could provide me with some advice. I am assuming that my combination should be able to run a 10. I have a 2016, manual transmission with a Roush stage two supercharger with a custom tune. It made 651 RWHP and torque was 554. I had 3.73 gears which caused me to have to to shift into fifth gear so I recently switched to 3.31’s but ran about the same ET with less MPH with the 3.31’s. I am granny shifting it and launching at about 5000 RPM with a 1.53 60 ft (the posted time slip shows a 1.63. It was pretty consistent 1.53 other than that pass) and shifting around 6500. I am using Hoosier slicks and I don’t have a ton of seat time with it but was curious what shift points I should be using and would power shifting it really make that much difference in the ET? The time slip showing 122MPH is with the 3.31’s and 125 MPH was with the 3.73’s. The car feels great I just think it should be in the high 10 seconds zone? Thanks

Are absolutely sure the clutch isn't slipping?

TBH chasing the ET in a manual is usually driver related. You really do have to be consistent and quick with a manual, more seat time usually results in better ETs. Power shifting is only going to lead to broken parts. This was my first 10 sec pass with a whipple tune and 3.31 gears, and several track visits later with MS109 and an Ice Tank.

Thanks guys. I assumed more seat time would be the answer. And I definitely don’t feel any clutch slippage and it does have a RXT clutch in it. Thanks for the advice.

I would say you need to shift higher than 6500 for sure. Your 60ft times indicate you definitely are there .

Yeah definitely shift higher! 6500 is right where the power starts.

My car was shifting around 6800-7K the first time i took it to the strip after my tune and pulley. it ran low 11's 11.1. 11.2 and then fixed my tune to shift to 77-7800 and ran 10.60 @ 133

Defientley Don't shift before 7k, no need to granny shift if your running a bias ply. With that mph and 60ft time you should be in the 10's np. Practice makes perfect!
