So I discovered there is a third trunk opener. There is an opener above the rear license plate. Mine has a kind of sticky feel to it. Is it supposed to be like that?

Yes, it's a rubber button and it's really the only I ever used.

Hit it with a microfiber and bug and tar remover and the gunk will come off.

Mine was sticky on delivery too. Really gross the first time I touched it. Wait for the residue to wear off or hit with some goo remover.

i always use that button, its better than digging in my pocket for the key fob

the goo is from that white plastic cover that's attached to the car in that spot during delivery. my guess is that when it's prepped for delivery, they tear it off and some the adhesive is left behind.

mine was gooey also and it bothered me a whole lot. but once i hit it with bug and tar remover, it came right off.
