Transmission slip and power question

This is my first mustang and I experienced the trans slipping when I was pulling into my driveway after driving home from work aprox 60 mile drive mostly highway. It took awhile to engage from stop to engage up driveway which is somewhat steep.
also I did try to do a burn out and the car barely spins the tires when I mash my foot to the floor. I would think a 2019 GT would be able to smoke the tires. What’s up, Any thoughts? I have had plenty of cars and trucks mostly GM that would roast tires with much less hp.

For the burn out did you turn off TC?

Pretty sure that is the downfall of the new automatic transmission that Ford/GM co-destroyed. LOL Its not the greatest and likes to hunt for gears for the best efficiency which is why you are seeing not much power and noticing faults.

How many miles on the clock?
Has it had any kind of service in the past?
Have you bothered to check the transmission fluid levels?
Read up on how the various modes and traction nannies affect it?
Even my EB will spin the tires if I want it to, just not in D and normal.

Get you a Wengerd Performance tune and you will for surely be laying some rubber down.

Thank you everyone total mind fart yes turning off traction control did the job “duh”! It works just fine, thanks again.
My 1st auto I have always had Muncie 4’s or tremec 5’s in the past. Actually I did have a turbo 400 in my ‘70 Chevrolet but that was 30 years ago and I swapped that for a Muncie so I have just traveled into the space age lol getting use to all the computers. I did buy this one with the 10 sod auto due to my daily driver and shoulder / neck issues have had 4 surjuries and doc says I need 2-more so stick is tough on my commuting but I would LOVE to have one of these with the stick bets it’s loads of fun.
