Just do what im planning on waiting and keeping the ecoboost for a dd and then buying a gt in a year or so and ill have the best of both worlds
I am kind of doing the same thing, but I'm going straight back to 03/04 Cobra. Only way to go in my mind.

I traded my eco/pp/50th ann pack for a base GT with PP/recaros. I missed my old V8 after the honey moon ended with this car. The GT for me is what makes me happy. You need to go with makes you happy. Did not take a huge loss but a loss is a loss you need to shop around if you are serious about it.
You traded premium for base? I went and drove a base gt today no way could I do that.Totally different feel inside, not bad but a big no for me. Premium Eco to base gt is not an upgrade.
The premium Gt was fun,i felt a bit more pull above 80 but below that I actually prefer the tuned Eco.
I've seen all these trades and thought maybe I missed something the first time around. So i got the wifes approval, negotiated a decent deal online and went to drive 2 gt's. It sounds better sure but I also don't want to hear it all the time. Other than that i found no other draw, other than you don't have the knuckle draggers make 4 cyl comments:crazy:.There's just something about the Eco i prefer it feels more nimble and fun to drive:shrug:
Glad I did it though just confirms I bought right the first time. Honestly I think y'all are crazy:headbonk: especially if you go from premium to base.Your money though ,glad you're happy:cheers:

In the end all the premium stuff didnt matter to me as much. The base model is still very good as sync is all I need. The touch screen/toggle switches and ambient lighting are features that stand out the most to me but really not necessary like the peformance pack is. Recaros are great and add something different to the interior while I can add ambient lighting down the road if I wanted to. Plan on tuning the car anyway so there goes the toggle switch (will always be in sport + or track) and I missed the sound of a V8 while driving. I still think the ecoboost is a great Mustang and is fun to drive just did not hit all the buttons for me like the GT does. Yea it is crazy to trade in a new car so quickly but o well.

I personally would not trade for a GT but I already have a raging V8 to play with. I love the EB. Loads of power, great handling, good looks, excellent mileage. I was at s cruise night a weeks ago. My car was filthy and nobody cared that there was a bright yellow 2015 GT that pulled in at almost the same time but I had a slew of people around my car. The import guys, euro guys, and v8 guys all checking it out and asking all kinds of questions. the EB is just such a unique animal it attracts people from everywhere but it's not for everyone. Good luck!

For the price of the loss trading in your car, just get the bigger turbo kit and have all the power to the ground of the GT with a lower payment, insurance, gas, etc.

The problem with the OP is that he's complaining of spending almost $6k in "modifications", when only a handful of those mods had anything to do with performance. Everything else is unnecessary fluff.

If you wanna compare what you spent vs. how much it would be to get into a base GT or similarly equipped GT or whatever, count up all of your PERFORMANCE mods, the stuff that actually changes how it drives, accelerates, handles, etc. Not cosmetic stuff or fluff.

im not sure where did you get 6k from, maybe out of your ass, just maybe :) ive spent a total of $827 dollars on visual mods, $2207 on utilities which maybe you are referring to "fluff" my radar jammer saved me 3 times already after owning my mustang for about 4 months now if that's what you call fluff, then dam I will gladly spend that money

Okay, so you've spent $4500 on your mods, but only $950 or so of that is performance modifications, the rest don't have anything to do with performance at all.

Maybe if you slowed down and not sped on public roads you could've saved $1047 and put that towards a turbo kit.

LOL hate you cause you spend $4k on unnecessary things then complain that after spending all that money you could've had a GT?

Dude you're delusional. Might as well quit while you're ahead. :dnftt:
