Hello all,
I recently just purchased a 2016 Mustang GT Premium w/ PP and put on about 800 miles on it.
The only modifications it has are the Roush intake and GT350 steering wheel.
Today as I was pulling out of my neighborhood on a rainy day turning into the main street, I felt the traction control kick in to keep my wheels from spinning. A good thing, I thought.
Then seconds after that, the engine started to stutter and struggled to get up to speed. My screen lit up with big orange wrench saying Service Vehicle. Eventually the engine shut itself off. I was able to roll off the road and restart the engine. The screen then said Service Traction Control and Traction Control Unavailable. CEL also came on
From then on, every time I try to go above 2500 rpm, the engine stutters again and wouldn't let me go above. I suspect it's the car's Limp Mode, and I was able to limp it home.
I took my beater Mazda and went to work right away, so I didn't have the time to troubleshoot. But it was silky smooth under 2500 rpm.
What do you think could be the cause?
My thoughts:
Again, the car only has 800 miles on it, I have not driven it hard. Especially not the night before because of the rain.
Should I take it to the dealer with the Roush intake installed or revert back to stock air box? The last thing I want is for them to blame it on the intake a slam a big red stamp on my record that voids my warranty on a brand new car!
Please help :(
Thanks!!

My thoughts:
- Rain ingestion from the Roush intake? It was sitting in the rain for a night and water could drip into the intake from the hood vent. But the intake was dry - I checked before started the car.
- MAF sensor issue during intake installation? But it was done 3 weeks ago, problem would have been immediate. The Fuel/Air ratio on the screen also seem normal.
- Wheel speed sensor malfunction? Is this even a common problem? How did I manage to break it?
