Traction Control Noise

Gentlemen,
Backing out of the driveway this morning it was 25 degrees and I decided to let her warm up for a minute or two. As I'm backing out at 2 MPH I cut the wheel a bit and strange sounds come from the rear. The same noise occurred as I pulled out later. I turned the traction control off and didn't hear anything after that. The car has 600 miles on it is this normal for the traction control?

Welcome to the forum! Long time characteristic of Torsen differentials. The ones in the S550's are an improved design, but some "clunks" never change. Either this new one is actually quieter than others I've had, or I just mentally ignore it.

The traction control isn't done in your differential anyway. Just run the sumbitch. You ain't gonna break it

Appreciate the feedback. Went from a Benz (C350) which was like automotive anesthesia to this ride which as you know is the exact opposite. I'll try and tune out the rear noise and focus on that sweet V8..

A louder exhaust helps... trust me. I'd suggest something other than the Pirelli's for winter where you're at. They're not good at all when it's cold, and seem squirrelly in the rain.

Rear Noise

They were pretty clear about changing the sneakers for NJ's winter. I was shocked at what the blizzack LM32's cost. Putting them on this week. It is what it is I guess.
