The order I got isn't a Ford order number, it's an internal ENCS order number.

Contact your rep at encs I believe there is a way to get that... but they also may be ordering from your dealer of choice, if that is so may take a little time to process.... not all dealers participate in encs so that may be the deal. When my truck was made, for the longest time the Vin never registered.. kept saying export or something like that... I will check my order sheet tonight for ya if it helps

Thanks, your order sounds pretty nice! I was debating on the DIB but I really like the black. I plan to power coat the rims gunmetal and the brake calipers red to match the taillights. anyways I order mine June 13 because I went from a Ecoboost I had ordered May 22 to the GT. when I changed the order the Ecoboost had just gotten a VIN... Ohh well, I don't regret my decision one bit. I'm just trying to figure out when to expect a VIN for the GT

I ordered my LE WW Automatic on May 20th and there is no tracking of it on the Ford tracking site. My dealer did tell me that mine would be the 1st one (of the 3 LE's they were able to order) they would pick up. I'm not sure what that means - so I asked - but have not gotten an explaination!

I ordered mine 5/22 and zip here also. Not happy. Going this weekend to look at other cars. Ford has dropped the ball with this launch. Making orders available and not having full details. And taking orders 5 weeks ago and no schedule for many.
First off should have launched in the spring like the other years did. Second if it doesn't come until Nov or Dec you might as well wait until Spring since the 16 will be out by then and your car will lose one year depreciation. Plus those in the colder climates??? Why buy and put in the garage for 6 mos.

Why garage it for six months, indeed? I live in Wisconsin, and I drive it year long. Those guys who garage it need to grow a set and buy some winter tires. It's a Mustang, not a trailer queen 'Vette. :doh:

Of course, if given the choice, I would've like to have taken delivery about two months ago. Reading between the lines a bit - I think Ford's original intention was to launch it in the spring. Think about it, what marketing guy in his right mind wouldn't want these cars to hit the dealerships on April 17? However, from watching the videos, etc., it seems about half-way through the initial design, they decided it wasn't working and needed to be scrapped. My guess is the redesign added about six months to the launch date. It must've been a tough decision. I'm glad they had the guts to make it. I'd rather have a looker in the fall than an ugly car in the spring.

Ford definitely hasn't 'dropped the ball', your expectations just got out of control. The car was never said to be shipped before September, why worry that you don't have a VIN yet?

Oh well, one less car that will be as awesome as mine on the road.

Scheduling is not related to time of order entry. So don't expect just because you ordered on Day 1, that you'll get your car before someone that ordered on Day 2. I've been told, scheduling is complicated.
