No way to properly paint just where the holes are. You also can't buy just the trunk stripes from Ford, gotta get the whole strip kit. I think it's like 2k, maybe more. Any decent graphics shop should be able to match them I would think. If you do the swap and want to sell the Track Pack wing let me know, I like it way better than the Tech spoiler. The first time you linked the paint tape, I didnt say anything, but now you are not stopping and doing it again, this time with a massive picture instead of a link. And I dont know whether you are joking or upset or just messing with me, I m not a mind reader. You didnt post anything else, any words or smileys
Let me just say this: I want to do this right, but I dont want to go crazy in terms of $$$$.
I cannot spend $3000 on top of the spoiler to install this.
As you can see, I'm a bit lost and it seems like there has only been less than a handful of people who attempted this. Please note that the tech pack spoiler doesnt have the holes so more than half of the R spoiler threads online dont really qualify.
If I can find a way to just order that tiny piece of vinyl from ford without it costing arm and a leg, I can just fill the holes with something (maybe even epoxy?), smooth it with polish and just put the vinyl stripe on it. Thats probably the best solution.
Or
If a body shop can paint that area under the stripes without having to paint the entire trunk or without blending the paint, that could work too.
I am really suprised I am the only one considering this install in this manner (without the plastic attachments or the brake lights)![]()
Does anyone know if that's correct about Tech cars not having the center holes? I thought they did.
