Enjoy the day! Looking forward to the post event report.

Been there, Jim and I suppose, early on, it was an option. But from what I've seen the past few years, that event has exploded. Way too many people to wait in line with. Plus, it's only a former runway so even if you get to the max airspeed, it wouldn't be for long.
V1.......Rotate.....

I know you will (and should be) focused on enjoying yourself. But if you have a chance to find out what helmet the instructors use, please post it. The student helmets are Zamp RL-70E. The instructor helmets look the same but are black--RL-70E does not come in black and the only black Zamps I can find have full face shield and larger chin portion. Have fun!

Same helmet just a different color to distinguish the instructors.

Actually slightly different--vents on the top and "rivet holes" around the outside. But great picture. Should be able to track it down. Thanks much!

I like to disassemble things.
They are the same helmet. But I agree and in going through Zamp's catalog I don't see black in that model. May have been available in a prior year or Zamp fulfilled a request without argument as the school ordered quite a few from them and I'm sure Zamp was happy to accommodate their wishes.

I took some shots of the helmet I used when I was there and put it in a side by side with the black one that was posted. I ordered one a while back (in white) and it is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I'll be happy to report back with what I got (ordered through Summit Racing).

Yeah, didn't recall the "rivet holes" on the white one, but from that angle it's clear. Wrote Summit and Zamp, but appreciate any info you may get as well. Will share what I get too.

Congrats. Great helmet. Hopefully, I'll locate a source for the black version.

The 14 Sep event couldnā€™t have gone any better. The weather was perfect and the school staff did a great job.
Iā€™ve never dragged before. Now I know how to do launch control and go on yellow!
Overall, a must do event for all GT500 owners.
One word of caution: I didnā€™t stay at the ā€œhostā€ hotel (Embassy Suites). But those that did werenā€™t happy. I stayed at the Homewood Suites right next to it. New and very nice facility. Would recommend.

What weren't they happy about?

Anybody run a sub 12 second 1/4 on your day?
