You have to ask your insurance company for the salvage value. They may or may not allow you to buy it back. Some companies will only sell to the businesses that specialize in salvage vehicles.Added

I'm sure you can buy it back from an auction or wherever the car is up for sale maybe? but who knows for how much. They usually sell it to whoever satisfies their asking price. I think....

I have bought vehicles back for 5-10% normally. But I line this up before payout. Decent chance they’ve already got it lined up for auction.

If you retain the title, you don't have to let them take it. You tell your Ins. Co. you want to keep the car and they will tell you the ACV to buy it back. The ACV will then be deducted from your payout.
At this point if you have already been paid, and the car has been taken, it's a done deal. You'd have to call your Agent back and ask if buying back at this stage is even a possibility. They sell the wrecks to the highest bidding salvage facility or in some instances the car will sit at an auction lot until it's ready to be sold or listed for auction.
If you left personal effects or anything of value, attached or not - consider that stuff GONE by now, because usually stuff like that is just taken. Personal items should always be removed ASAP, lot rats make off with the goodies sometimes even before the payout has been completed.

You should have taken out the parts prior to them paying you out. If you want it back only option is to be part of the auction and be the highest bidder

So have you taken payment?They took the car to their salvage yard. They asked me to sign some papers but I asked to get those personal items before I sign. I hope they are still there. They did offer me a payout
