Have a 2018 a10 gt that i bracket race and street drive.Was thinking on installing a convertor.Anyone install one and what was the results.Dragstrip results please.Wondering if its worth the money.

I run a Circle D 245mm converter that stalls at about 4,000rpms (I think it's a 5C). When the car was naturally aspirated it would 60ft in the 1.8x range, and after the converter was installed it went down to 1.6x. With the Whipple it's now down in the 1.45-1.49 range.

Notice 2nd gear leave,whats the deal with that,early shift in to 2nd slowing the 60ft?

Notice 2nd gear leave,whats the deal with that,early shift in to 2nd slowing the 60ft?
For when you're making big boy power. Personally I don't like the idea of a 2nd gear launch.

I've been lauching my 10R80 in 2nd gear. I can push my RPM up to 2500 with the stock OEM torque converter.

What are your 60' times launching at 2500 in 2nd versus launching at 2000 in 1st?
In my Ecoboost w/ 10R80, I can launch in 1st gear, up to 1750 rpm and have a 2.0+ 60'. Launching in 2nd gear, I can push the rpm up to 2500 with my 60' under 2.0.
