Okay... So I spoke with FRPP Tech Support this morning again about this. I have informed them of pretty much everything that has been talked about in this thread so far. They are telling me that they are not aware of any of these issues and that I'm the first person to report these kinds of problems. It seems to me like this issue is affecting several other people with this kit, so if a phone call hasn't been made to FRPP Tech Support yet, perhaps one needs to be made. Right now I'm told engineering is looking at the tune that they're providing but it is not a priority right now since I'm the only person having issues with it.
You should try your car with AdvanceTrac turned off first IMHO. I dont think there is anything FRPP can do in the tune to help you other than reduce power so that AdvanceTrac doesnt engage.

The problem still exists with the Advancetrack turned off.
So you have both traction control and AdvanceTrac turned off and it still does it?

The traction control settings on a non-premium model are:

Push button 1 time and traction control is off.

Push button 2 times and it is in sport mode.

Press and hold the button for a few seconds and Advancetrack is off.

if you turn off traction control first by pressing the button 1 time, when you press and hold it to turn off the Advancetrack as soon as you press the button again the dash shows that the traction control is now back on.

Likewise if you press and hold the traction control button until you receive the notification that the Advance track is off, as soon as you press the traction control button to turn off the traction control you receive a notification that Advancetrack is back on.

After reading the owners manual, it is my understanding that turning off Advancetrack is supposed to also automatically disable the traction control.

If this is not the case, and I just don't know how to turn off both; please feel free to tell me how this procedure should be completed.

Got it.

Ya I dont know... turning them both off in the premium is done by following your 4th procedure there that doesnt work for you.

But if the issue is that you cannot turn off both of them, I dont know if there is anything they can do to help with the tune. Perhaps try some modifications to keep AdvanceTrac from engaging... thats what I am working on right now and will have a report by the end of the week. I would prefer to keep AdvanceTrac turned on most the time if I can prevent it from intruding when unwanted. Ill let you know if it works for me. Just installed bushings and some IRS upgrades to attempt an eliminate the rear steering effect.

With turning off advancetrack, you also shut off traction control. So for the premium guys its holding up the toggle up about 6 seconds. For the base guys its just holding in the button for 6 seconds.

About 90% sure that I have to turn them both off individually. Ill double check tomorrow, but that was what I came up with last time I did it.

Also, even though the traction light comes on when you put it in track mode, its still not all the way off and you can push the button to actually get the traction control off warning, and then again do the advance trac.

Track mode just disables traction control and sets a new advancetrack setting, it does not shut it off.

Advancetrack off, disables traction control and advancetrack.

Agreed. I cannot turn off traction control and then again turn off Advanced Trac.

Put car in Track mode (traction control off lights on dash). If I hit the traction control switch and release dash says Traction Control off. If I hold the button (regardless of time) dash says Traction Control On.

Only way to turn off Advanced Trac is to do so the first time you hit the switch (and hold it). Otherwise Traction Control says it is turned back on (even though dash shows traction control off indicator).

My car is different than yours in that case.

If I hit the traction control button, traction control turns off. If I hold it, AdvanceTrac turns off. Push it again, traction control is back on. Hold it again, AdvanceTace turns on.

I have to turn off both traction control and AdvanceTrac individually or my car kills all the fun. Same goes with in track mode also... even though the traction control light is on the second I go into track mode, I again have to individually turn off both in order to get full power.

It also does not matter what sequence I do it in. Any time I hit the switch quickly, it will toggle traction control. Any time I hold it, it will toggle AdvanceTrac, in whatever order I please.

Even in track mode?

I run a 275/35/20 front and 305/35/20 rear, more than half inch, and no issues.
Less than half an inch. .4133 to be exact.

I've also got the base model and to turn both off you hold the button down for about 6 to 7 secs.

Your problem is probably the ECU pulling power for some reason. There are a lot of torque control parameters and engine protection tables. Are you manual or auto? I have HP Tuner software for manual, I can look through the tables to give you a clue what it might be but you really need to be able to log your runs to see what the ECU is doing. The ECU will cut power for many reasons, knock, clutch protection, overheat of engine oil, trans oil or coolant. If I remember correctly the clutch protection kicks in for 10 sec on stock tune.

I have base model and just press and hold the button for about 6 seconds and it turns everything off .. I don't get the hole tire size thing .. My first DRs I had on the car were just under 25 inches tall and had zero problems at the drag strip with them ..It looked funny to have shorter tires on the back but it worked fine .. Later I installed 26+ inch DRs and it ran just the same other than better traction for the larger tire ..

You might try this to see if all your T/Cs are off , jack up the back end and give it some gas ..If my T/C is off but the advanced is still on the back tires will not rotate ..They will start to turn then the power kills and they stop ... I found this out on the lift after replacing the clutch ..I wanted to run it on the lift to see if everything was working ok with the clutch ... I had to make sure that the T/C and Advanced track was off just like at the drag strip ..Once both were off the tires turned normal .. I have to do the same thing on the dyno ..

I can't say this is your problem but it's a easy test to do ...At least you can rule that out and look else where for the problem ..
