Hey guys I'm thinking about rebuilding my 10r80 with a suncoast kit. Just trying to make sure I have everything I need before I begin. I need the clutch pack press thing, the Ford seal seater for the Teflon seals and basic hand tools. Is there anything else I need or tricks? Planning to use the atsg manual.

Dial indicator to measure stack up.
307-748 is the OTC kit. The 3D printed ones are hit or miss. Haven’t seen one work correctly yet.
May want to add some of the Sonnax pieces available also, like the solenoid clips
The RatioTek kits work really well too. Steve Younger at RatioTek is very knowledgeable about the 10r80 and will share knowledge but not tuning information.

I don't know how you are going to replace the stator support seal in the front. It's nearly impossible unless you replace the stator housing itself.

Alright I'm about to order the retainer clips
Should I also do the sonnax zip kit or does the ratiotek do the same thing or do both?

I don’t think the zip kit wasn’t available when I did mine last year. It looks like it’s the same concept as the RatioTek. Sonnax is usually pretty legit too though.
