Hello gang,
I've just completed my caliper powder coat and new disc and brake pads installation. I followed a youtube guy that was showing a brake job on a 2017 GT. When I dissassembled I was surprised to see 2 layers of sheet metal between the brake pads and the caliped on the front.
That guy didn't reinstalled the second layer of sheet metal on each side of the brake system. So I did exactly as he said.
Here is my question:
Is it ok or should I dissassemble again and reinstall the second layer of sheet metal?
This is my first brake job ever and I do not want to mess. Perdon my ignorance but I'm confused/ nervous this morning. I still didn't had a chance to do the road test btw.
Thanks a lot for your time and advices.
