It is also up to us forum members to help identify those dealers placing ADM's on their vehicles.
Or better yet, identify (and reward with more sales) dealers that don't place markups.

Why worry about it and instead use a purchasing service that has negotiated rates...I know several that snagged Boss 302s, when they were at a premium, below MSRP using this method.
What purchasing service are you talking about?

Whatever works. If I could get a GT350 through a purchasing service I'd be on board.

Being a member at Shelby forum, they have a listings of dealers (sponsors) of the forum and direct access to GM/Salesman/Internet Sales that's willing to get their members the GT500 at MSRP or $1K over Dealer's invoice. Another option that many members used is a company called leasecompare.com, you basically config. the car to your specs on their site, compare the lease rate to traditional rate and decide which one you want to go, its a simple process with no haggling, the bank will find you the car. My son got his Nissan GTR through leasecompare.com, drove down from North California to SoCal to pick up the GTR, and we broke the car in on the way back. There was a member from Shelby forum that flew out to North California from Alaska, picked up his GT500 and drove it back, imagine that fun trip in a Shelby.

I like what Dodge is doing. Makes me want to get a Hellcat and drive it for awhile.
I was very close to buying the Hellcat, but I didn't want to spend $65K (with tax and gas guzzler tax). Love the car though.

These cars won't be sold over MSRP, this is not a limited production vehicle. Sure, the first 50 cars or so might find their sucker, but that will correct itself quickly.

Well I hope not. I would think that Ford would like to see as many on the road as possible.

I really hope so. I'll be overseas when it comes out. If there is an ADM, I wont be hit with it buying through AAFES new car sales.

Well I got my first shitty offer from Newberg Ford in Newberg, OR. $10K over whatever the MSRP is and a $10K deposit would ensure I get their first one....:tsk:

These guys will be lucky to get one GT 350 as they are one of the smaller dealers in the area.

For a dealer markup to work, there has to be LIMITED number of cars.

The GT500 was sold a limited number of years AND in limited quantity...! The GT350 will be manufactured in limited lots, not limited numbers. Over many years. Most will be ordered anyways. They will not sit on dealer lots, causing them to ADM for "exotic advertising" inside the stealerships.

Specially when people will just go to the next dealer down the road and give them their money instead.

Dealers that have not learned to make their money through quality treatment of their customers and superb customer service, will always try to make money the fast way. Because they can't rely on their clientele for repeat business.

Nothing will stop it as long as there is demand. Simple as that.

There's always people that will pay the extra $ just to be the first to have that uniquie *whatever it is*. I dont even know why people are so worried about the ADM. Does it affect the rest of us? No. Simply move on to the next dealer who is willing to negoiate.

Not entirely true.
We are a very reputable dealer that have won Ford president awards many times and we have a really strong customer base both in sales and service.
While we have never added the mark up to "regular" vehicles, we have always added something to the unique limited vehicles ( $5000 mark up on the very first 2007 Shelby , $10000 markup on the 2005 Ford GT) and sold the vehicles at those asking prices.
I think the dealers that try to add the markup to anything new to the market are the one's who ruin it for all other dealers. There is no excuse or reason for a dealer to add a markup to any 2015 Mustang, unless its an LE. But luckily most of those dealers will sit on those units for a while and hopefully learn their lesson that sometimes it is best to sell it now and make a little profit that sit on it for a while and realize it wasnt as hot of item as they thought it was.

No, only as long as their are impatient people with money. You can always order one at MSRP.
