I don't know what it is, but I have bad luck with tires. I'm always getting nails and stuff in the rear tires. Its super frustrating. Most often, it's in the shoulder of the tire, or the sidewall. Right now, theres something in the inner sidewall on the rear drivers side. Its not like I drive down the shoulder of the highway or something.

Is it because PP rears are wider than the fronts? Should I re-shoe the car to be 19x9 square? Am I cursed? Did I anger some driving deity? Am I a bad driver? Is it a sign that I should trade it in for a KIA Stinger GT1?

It just happens. I've had no issues with my 2016 PP car, but had multiple punctures with my 2012 TP car.

Random happenstance.

However, it could also be that some vehicle(s) that drop crap all over the road (garbage, contractor vehicles) frequent some road you drive every day.

There's stuff on all the roads all the time. On Wednesday, There were 3 tires in the middle of lanes on the 2 separate highways that I had to drive down. Airless tires can't come soon enough.

The wider width can contribute. A mechanic friend of mine says the right rear tire is the most susceptible (for RHD markets) as the nails and screws tend to be on the edge of the road. The theory is when you take a right hand turn you are getting into where they all collect on the outside of the road.

Try to take right hand turns a little wider.

With the housing market up it seems to contribute to more screws and nails on the roads, along with those damn gravel haulers dumping rocks all over the roads. I hate those gravel haulers with a passion!!!!!!!!!!!!
