Morning fellas -

With my gt350r I found the need to move to a wider tire on the track.

Have any of you don’t this yet with the GT500 or we finding the stock size cup2s suffice to?

I sized up on my amg GTR and moved to the Corvette zr1 Spec’d cup2 ZPs and saw a world of difference over the stock cup2s.

I have no idea what this even means in English.
Haha. Shit. Sent on my phone while flying in a seaplane. Not great texting.

Ultimately the question is:

For those who track their gt500s have they felt the need to move to larger/wider tires? I know a lot of us did this on the gt350r platform.

Run it and see… not being a wise @ss - that’s what I’m doing - different car so learn it and see what you need!
Yeah, fair enough.

I kinda said that because there’s a lotta temptation to buy all sorts of stuff for this thing… my C7 had like “nothing” in terms of breadth and depth of aftermarket compared to this thing ;)

Yeah, it’s good advice man. Getting ahead of myself and wanting to mod is a real usual thing for me. Looking forward to putting it on the track and seeing how it differs

Adding more camber will make a lot of difference before you spend $$ on tires.
I'm still running the stock PS4S after about a 1/2 dozen track events.
Will a Cup2 be better? I'm sure. But its awesome as is. When these are gone, I'll switch over.

Thanks man. I always play with the alignment! I cannot believe you've gotten that many track days on the stock set of tires. Very impressive!
