How common are non potted sensors though? I don't believe I've ever seen any. Admittedly though, I've never worked in a tire shop. Also, just because some aren't doesn't change that the OEM sensors in the Mustang are potted.The battery can be replaced on TPMS that are not epoxy potted by removing the plastic cap. Pop off the cap with a knife and install a new battery. The internal battery is a CR2032.
