I just brought home a new 2021 GT.. this is Mustang number 8 for me, but all my other cars have been no newer then 2003, lol. I know almost nothing about these years and the tech on them is far more advanced than I am used to for sure.

So I just have some questions because I want to do things right with this car. I’ll have exhaust questions later on (active exhaust), after I get wheels squared away.

I already ordered some SVE springs and I want to order wheels, but I wanted the SVE R350 19x10/11 kit from LMR but before I order those I have a few questions. I was trying to avoid going to a 20” wheel if possible.

What is the widest rear tire that can be put on these cars with assuming you have a 1” drop with springs, without any modifications?

My car came with the black “bullitt” style 19x8.5” wheels and 255/40, so can the stock tire be put on the 10” wheel I’m gonna run in front, or will that be pushing it and I should get a wider tire for the front? I also don’t want a stretched look, so I’m thinking I’ll end up needing to get tires for the front. I will probably try to sell the stock wheels.

For the 11” wheel on the rear, I want to get something wider, but I see for 19”/20” tires, there isn’t as many options as I’m used to when running 17” wheels. I originally wanted to go with a 315, but seems like a hard time finding tires.

So for those of you running tires that according to the tire calculator would throw off the speedo by a good amount, are you guys using a tuner to fix it or is there a speedo corrector for these cars?

I originally wanted to run a drag radial out back, but I will live if I can’t.

Thanks in advanced for any help.

tires need to fit the wheel. You can fit wider than a 315, but if the wheel can't really support it ... meh.

Anyway you should be fine with a 315 on a 11" rear.

Probably can forget that 255/40 tire. May as well buy tires that are optimal for front and rear. Lots of ways to correct the speedometer....dealership can do it, tuner, ForScan Tool. Depending on the total rear tire diameter, speedo may not be off by much.

Yea. I was browsing the forums here and seen some posts with info and pics… ended up ordering 285 for front and 325 for rear.
