Just an update. Replaced the solenoids and car idles perfectly again. Drivers side was very straightforward. On the passenger side valve cover I just lifted the front of the cover enough to replace the solenoid and bolted it back down. Didn’t want to fight the HPFP and all my fuel system lines.
nice one, how long did it take? My mechanic was double booked so mine has been delayed a couple weeks.

it took about 4 hours and that was with having to take off extra stuff from the fore fuel system and lines to the Whipple that were in the way. I also wouldn’t say I’ve very mechanically inclined lol.

I'm having a rough idle issue on my 2019 gt and I'm hoping this is the solution. I can't seem to find any information on the VCT solenoid or part number for the gen 3 coyotes. do you have the part number?

I have an issue which is a little of topic but is in the same location. I've noticed oil seepage on the driver side valve cover of my 2019 Mustang Buliitt. The car has 51000 miles on it.

Apparently the oil is seeping through the VCT solenoid rubber grommet.

Several questions in regards to this:

1) Is it worth fixing this oil leak if I'm not getting any fault codes?
2) Can the rubber grommet be purchased separately or it comes with the new solenoid?
3) If I decide to remove the valve cover to fix the leak what else do you recommend to replace with the valve cover off?

I was considering upgrading to the aluminium valve covers from but just learned from this thread they don't fit 2019 Mustang GTs :(

I doubt I would remove the cover to fix just that. Depends on your OCD level though. That side is much easier than the passenger side, but you're still almost sure to break a clip or 2..

That's not the VCT solenoid. The VCT solenoids are at the far front of the valve cover, on the extreme left of your photo. I have no idea what that sensor is next to the coil pack, but that's what is leaking.

Regardless, you'd probably need a new valve cover.
