I had the oil fill cap off looking around inside with a flashlight and noticed the outer chain closest to the radiator had nicks in every link. Appeared to all be on the ends where it makes it's turns.

Anyone else notice this?

I believe there have been other threads on this. It was determined to be normal and most likely from the casting of the metal when they made the chains.

You could post a picture to get verification though.

Yup, many have observed this and have posted pics and comments about it. It was determined to be normal and nothing to worry about.
