All, I plan on having my GT350R shipped and was wondering what the best tie down points would be. The shipper said he typically does through the wheels since he has Mac microfiber pillow straps. I’m hesitant to this method just because of the carbon fiber wheels. However, he said he could tie down to the chassis if preferred. What do you guys recommend and why?

Tie mine down through the wheels as the shipper suggested. Not a fan of chassis tie downs (just me) because I dont want the entire car absorbing all the shock. That's what the suspension is for

I've done both, the MAC straps have not damaged the finish on my CF wheels. I do like the M-1700-M better because when I tied it down with the wheels the underbody splash guards got chewed up from the straps.

Another in the M-1700 camp. It all depends on what you prefer, and are comfortable with.

Suspension still works while car is tried down by chassis - you can't possibly strap it down hard enough to bottom the suspension. (I use mentioned M-1700 kit and tow the car on open trailer so can clearly see what it is doing on the bumps).

Understood. The car can still move. Probably not a lot but........ Preferences

Can you use the Ford Performance tie downs with BMR jacking rails?
