So another AC thread.
My car has developed a metallic ticking sound in the engine bay, but only when the AC is running. Turn off the AC but leave the fan on and it's gone. Turn off AC and fan off and it's gone. Even more interesting seems to be happening in the hotter part of the day (Arizona so already 105+). When I leave in the morning it's around 80 degrees and I commute about 23 miles and when I get to work it still sounds fine. Afternoon drive home, and I get the tick. Only reason I even noticed it was while waiting in Walgreens pharmacy drive through. AC is blowing cold for now... Any ideas?
Edit...I should mention it's not the normal clutch sound it would normally make.
