Light came on sitting today, P04DB which is crankcase vent disconnected....I assume that's the right side of the engine that is where we are putting the catch cans(CCV)? or the PCV on the left side connected to the air intake?

Have mishi catch can but haven't installed yet so the lines are stock on both sides and I checked and everything is connected.

installed the jlt intake and cobb 91 canned tune last week, been fine til today. I did put quite a bit of pressure on the intake side pcv plastic tube when moving it around and fitting onto the intake. I am going to pull the left side plastic tube off and get some thick hose form auto store and use it from the pcv to the air intake and see if that changes anything. Maybe I damaged the stock plastic line *shrug*

Time to bump this up from the dead...

Did you ever get your P04DB resolved? I did a K&N intake at the same time I did the Turbosmart BPV and I have been plagued with this code since then. I have double and triple checked every single hose that was touched, and they all are golden.

This is for the sensor on the passenger side of the engine on the PCV valve. Take the whole system off and clean it out. Toss it back on and make sure everything is connected tight! Normally this code comes in conjunction with a catch can install.

If you have a Cobb Accessport I can remove it!

Thanks for the info.

I've had a catch can since March with no issues until I installed the intake and bovvvvvvvvv.

I'll go ahead and take it apart again and verify everything is clean and tight.

I do have an AccessPORT and do have AccessTuner Race. So I know I can turn the code off, but ultimately I would like to fix the problem instead of masking it.

Again, thanks.

Were you able to fix the issue you had? I’m having a similar problem you had… “P04db crankcase ventilation system disconnected” error is happening on my car. My car has K&N CAI and UPR single catch can, which were installed about a month ago. I also installed Magnaflow Street catback, but I don’t think this caused the warning… I checked all the connection and everything looked fine…
Please let me know if you were able to fix the problem by reinstalling the CAI, etc… or Did you use an accessport to turn the sign off ?
Thanks,
Koji

Mine just went away but when I was switching to upr single catch can this weekend I wiggled my jlt intake too hard and the pcv hose attached to it popped off and I didn't even notice til my check engine threw the same code again when I started driving down the road. So its almost definitely due to an aftermarket intake I believe.

Thanks,

It did go away on it's own, once, but it came back within 50 miles.

I believe this is an issue with certain intakes. I might put my stock one back on this weekend as the MIL really annoys the shit out of me.

I too have the K&N, so it is slightly reassuring to see that I am not the only person having this issue.

I'm gonna check all the connections once more today. If everything is good, I will wait and see if the light goes away...

I will contact K&N today and see what thay will say. I will post the reply from K&N when I get it.

Thanks both for the information!

Update:
I just contacted K&N and the tech support rep suggested me to check the quick disconnect fitting if it actually has a clean hole in it. The fitting is that you installed into the intake tube by screwing it and it connects to PCV tubing. He said sometimes the hole in not complete since it is plastic, and it makes some errors. He also suggested me to check BOV outlet hole on the intake tube too. I can use a piece of wire or something to check those, so I don’t have to take whole intake out. If I don’t see any defects, I will need to contact him again. He told me that he has never heard of “P04db” error before.

Update:
The warning sign was on and off since 7/16, though I haven’t done anything. I tuned my car using unleashed tune on 7/18, and since then, the sign have never come back on! I am not sure if the tune actually did something to the sensor though.
