This aint my first rodeo with a thermo swap. LOL
Changed mine yesterday and finally had time to drive it today since we got some bad weather yesterday.

But before I started it, I see it's wet around the connection and some seeping through the threads on the back side of the bolt.

Pretty sure I installed it right. Put the O-ring in first in the housing, then the thermostat.

Not sure what could be the problem. Hate having to dump the fluid again. lol

Thanks
Steven

You mean O-ring/gasket?

I just watched this video

He said the themostat goes in the housing first then the O-ring. That could be my problem.

When I popped my hose off. The thermostat and gasket fell out at once so I couldn't tell which way they went.

Unfortunately I once made that same mistake. Painted my hood underneath w/ coolant, supercharger belt slipping all over the place. it was fun! lol

don't use the gasket/o-ring that came with the thermo. Reuse the Ford stock one.

Well got it changed and no leaks.
Now the coolant temps went all the way to 220* before I shut the car off because I know that's way too high. This is off my Ngauge.

What the hell could be wrong now? lol

Since these system don't have a bleeder valve, it may still have some air in the system. Mine took 2 days to settle out and ran back to normal temp. Hope this helps.

Well, I started reading old threads here and forgot about the air bubble thing..I read people squeezed the hose a few times to get some of the air bubbles our.
Did that and started it up. Looks like it worked because it stayed around 187* idling. Have not driven it yet.

So I think I'm finally good. lol

Thanks for all the help guys.
