I have a 2019 GT manual and looking to put a drop in K&N filter and resonator delete with H pipe.

In and of itself, these wouldn't necessitate a tune, but I was wondering if there would be any likely performance improvements if I got a tune?

The car seems to be running sweet at present (23k km) but I have just been quoted over $2,000 for a tune.

That's a lot of moolah for a tune IMO, so just wondering what people think about any likely improvements that I may get from a tune up?

Cheers

Don. There is this Brisbane tune shop that it seems would charge you $1450. I have had previous great work done by Custom Car Coding and it seems that they are partnering with Simply Tuning to do engine tunes. Later this week I am getting my A10 transmission tuned by CCC.

Had a look at their website, and it looks like a one man band which hardly offers anything. A transmission tune for "6 speed automatic" or "10 speed automatic" is the only thing available for Mustang. I wouldn't go near this place personally. Looks like a fly-by-nighter type operation. That's my first impression anyway.

Whatever.

Simply Tuning at Brendale are the people that do the dyno tuning. They appear to be 25% less than what you are talking.
As for Custom Car Coding it is indeed only a two man operation and that makes it a lot more personable for me. How many techs do you want working on your car anyhow? The owner, Mitch is a former master tech for Ford and knows the cars well. He has previously done coding on my 18 and I found his manner, knowledge and communication to be excellent.
I personally do not favour the idea of going to one of the bigger Mustang "specialists" in Bris to get my work done.

I've had the H pipe done in mine (mishimoto), the sound improvement is fantastic. I also had the Air Raid CAI put in which gave a kind of noticeable improvement, it is hard to say because I didnt have the car for long at the time and I have only recently realised that it only really gets lively when it is driven in sport plus mode. That's the problem with engine mods, 3 weeks after they go in you can barely remember what they were like before.

Personally if I was to consider a tune, I would go to the guys I use for performance mods - Eurotune at Miami. I have had a good run with them on my cars, and even though they work on a lot of top end cars (usually at least a few exotics in the workshop at any given time) they do love the mustangs. they are also very reasonably priced, and if they think that you are wasting your money they will tell you.

I'm going to get a Lund 98 Tune after warranty. I dont expect too much extra power from the engine but the new mapping and new A10 tune will help. Since they have done thousands of them, I don't see the point of a local dyno shop that may have done a few. Maybe for way out mod's, but then again, Lund would have seen them all too way more than anyone else as well.
