This and then a replaced upper and lower grill.
But this thing is a savior for under the hood IMO.

I am defiant about getting this mod too. A big heavy metal box for $200 seems like a waste.
I guess it's a matter of how much you value $200 bucks.
For me its not a big deal to get rid of this....

Looks like a see thru lunch box - that or the roasted chicken from the grocery.

If this was turned a bit more and filled with Gatorade it would be a dead on match

That's not even what the production one looks like. It's smoke colored and not only does it not look bad, it serves a utilitarian purpose in that you can actually see the fluid level without taking the cap off!
Mustangs have nothing to do with utilitarian purpose...quite the opposite in nature; IMO.

Can you post a pic of the production one, all I have seen is the above.

Thanks.

PlastiDip is about 5 to 10 bucks, and I have a can at home. I think I'll use that for the top of the coolant reservoir.

I'm thinking this will be the absolute last mod I do to my S550.
Right before I sell it!

I don't care what value anyone put on 200 bucks, that thing is just lipstick on a pig.
It creates more question than answers.
Good luck w/ a simple eye check for fluid.

With extended racing times, the factory coolant expansion tank will warp and crack over time. I went through this with my '03 Mach 1 and ended up replacing the broken factory piece with a beautiful tank from Canton. The factory tanks sucks for those who will track their cars.

How about this from Summit:

Everyone I have seen at cruise nights & car shows are welded perfectly. Then you can purchase the stainless cap from American Mussle.

I assure you, the production version on the GT in my driveway is the exact same as the picture.

No way no how will I drop $200 to replace it. Anyone looking under the hood is interested in the Coyote, not the coolant overflow bottle
