When I went for my test drive I couldn't help thinking what a great job the Mustang salesman has, the car pretty much sells itself after all !
But then I remembered he's climbing in a very high powered rear wheel drive car every day and handing the keys to people he knows nothing about and putting his life in their hands every time.
Maybe not such a great job after all...

When I went to test-drive a BMW 3-series last November (335i M-Sport for those wondering) the salesman was actually thankful I took my time with the car rather than going crazy with it right out of the gate. He said he was sick of having mini heart-attacks whenever he got into a 335 or M3 with one of the following:

  • A person with zero experiance of high powered cars giving it the Heinz
  • A complete prick
  • An inexperienced prick typically with daddy's American Express card

Same story when I went to a Dodge dealer in July last year to have a go in a Challenger. The saleswoman looked relieved that I wasn't trying to slide it everywhere - even surprised when I said I'd take it slow at first to get a feel for it.

Some of us have sense Ben :). Others are just nobs going for a joy ride blagging as a test drive, can never be too sure!

AS if someone on mobility thought they'd get a Mustang... Lol. What. If that was possible i'd be getting my gramps to get one and registering as his carer (He never uses his mobility given car!)

Why wouldn't they get a mustang? There is someone with a EVO 10 with way way more power than a Mustang with hand controls. It can be done.
Just seems a bit out of the ordinary, does it not? To be fair I don't know the ins/outs of it, but most of the cars my grandad gets a looking at are low power cars, and I wouldn't trust him in them (He's on motorbility because he's got a jacked up knee with a metal plate in it)

From my memory of working in car sales, you can get just about anything on mobility. You just have to contribute more depending on the car you are renting.

No you cant get them on motobility,

They do offer a large range of cars, saloon's, 4 x 4 etc

but sport/GT type vehicles are few and far between.

you can look up the list of vehicles available up on line if you so wish

Ford are pretty crap seeing as the Mustang is now a UK official car yer they don't have a warehouse full of spares.

Might as well stick to importing your own car.

Considering demand here in the US is almost twice what they expected... And that's ignoring that they over sold most international allocations.

Fords got a winner, and the problem now is keeping the supply chain rolling fast enough to keep the assembly going. Making spare parts will always be second priority.

Having a warehouse full of spare parts would mean the mustang is a flop. So be thankful your wrong.

Majorly overselling UKs allocation already. I think originally we were only meant to have 2k :eyebulge:
