Summer is winding down and we've been taking some road trips. Hour here, 2 hours there; nothing crazy, a concert, an amusement park, a friends lake house, etc...
On the open highway - GD what a rush. Slow driver in the left lane and doesn't want to move over? No problem. Sport +, cruising around 75; drop it into 4th (or 3rd, lol) give it a bit of gas and theres 10 car lengths between you and the moron driving slow in the left lane and your doing 100.
Top down or top up - I wanted to replace the exhaust but you get on the gas a bit and it's not bad. Could of been tuned a bit better for low rpm exhaust notes but if nothing else, that's a good thing when driving through the neighborhood.
Never questioned the stability; I feel safe; the car feels stable. I've gotten over the hood flutter, lol... I keep pushing it a bit, 102, 103 - the car was used when I bought it and I feel safe at 100 but I don't think I'll go much faster till I put fresh tires / breaks on it next year maybe after the snow. Never sustained; I'm not driving reckless - just a quick burst of speed to have a bit fun / pass someone when the road is clear then back down to the speed limit.
I've been a bit envious reading the GT posts; told a friend the other day I should of bought a GT; kinda want a super charger; kinda want a little more power - the intake and the tune made a huge different IMO, but I feel 410, 420hp would be a good mark to hit. I know those #s on the Ecoboost, you should consider building the engine so maybe I'll start saving up for a build over the winter or just ride out the loan and get a GT next time. Hindsight...
After driving an SUV in the low 200hp for the better part of a decade - I'm gonna be dreading the winter more then usual, lol...
F' you money can't buy happiness; look at the smile on my face when I'm driving my Mustang.
(wasn't really sure where to put this; just wanted to share my feeling - move it if needed, please)
