Turbo everything
"No Lift Shift" You hold the pedal to the floor, and only use the clutch when shifting. If the EBM cannot do it with the Cobb, you can use a WOTbox like we do in the BMW's in uses the clutch switch input, and cut timing for a predetermined amount of time to let you shift without lifting

It is build into the Cobb. You can even set the rpm resume limit per gear! Pretty awesome.

Nice.. Im sure Adam will set me up soon enough with all that when he is tuning my 7163..
I wasn't aware the Cobb had that built in. I always lifted when at the track, I figured it will harm my drivetrain if I didn't lift

With the build in NLS / FFS (No Lift shift, Flat Foot Shift = Same Thing) it is MUCH easier on the car.

Do you like the current driveability of your stock turbo, but want more power up top?

If the answer was yes? What kit and/or setup? I too daily my car. Anything recommendations for someone want to run 93octane stock motor?

If you like the drivability/spool of the factory turbo, then you would want to look at the kit I am running on my car. The Full-Race 7163EFR kit, here is a link to my testing on my car.

If you are looking to get a turbo to fit directly in place of the factory turbo and use any current upgrades you have, the only option I would suggest would be the Vargas Stage 2.

What if I went big turbo with a slower spool then put a higher stall converter in the car? How would that effect the boost? I'm guessing lspi would not as much of an issue with a looser converter in the car.

I just hope the extra lag doesn't take away from the fun on the street. I'm excited to at least try it. I don't think it will be that bad though honestly.

It's not really, for the most part while am commuting I am hovering around 3k in and around town, once you are rowing the gears if you are out of boost it's on you. :)

The laggier turbo kits out there are still fun, there is no doubt that the anticipation adds to the fun factor. Power is power, it is fun no matter where it is made, I just like torque... NOW!

Regarding LSPI, it really isn't even an issue unless you make it an issue like I mentioned in another post "While everyone is losing their minds, I'm just over here....."

Don't drive in SEVERE LSPI prone areas and you won't ever have an issue. It is mostly due to the small turbo coming on so quick with too tall of a gear.

There is no fear of LSPI with any of the upgraded turbo's out there, regardless of the converter setup.

I agree I am also running 3.55s so it makes the extra rpms fun :)

I know the 7163 is the spool king. What rpm is the Vargas Stage 2 turbo spooling?
