I almost went that route. I’d of been happy wih that as well. Still would. Unfortunately Edelbrock is in the same boat as whipple currently.

I waited 3 months last July for a whipple for my 18. Cancelled my order when they told me they had no time of arrival yet for it after being told it would only be 8 weeks from the original order date then a 4 week delay. I researched a little and after a couple months ordered an Edelbrock 2650 TVS blower and it makes equal to more power than the whipple Stage 2. It also looks amazing under my hood as you can see from the pic below. I am very happy with my decision. If whipple can’t keep up with orders they shouldn’t take them. Period!

Edelbrock did this to themselves. They anounced the the bulk of their operations is moving to Mississippi! Who wants to move there from California. I'm sure they lost all of their machists since there are plenty of jobs for them in the Los Angeles area. I believe they are keeping a foundary operation there but it just does rough castings. Finishing will done in Mississippi. Logistically that must be a nightmare.

Well, I ordered my stage 2 from Beefcake on 4/29 with the 132 TB and oversized heat exchanger, so I guess I'll be waiting for at least another 5 months. Given the lead times are increasing I'm worried now as I intend to take the car to Vegas to run SCSN which is mid-November. It would be nice to do some test hits before that race, but that may not be possible if things continue like this.

I got very lucky. I ordered from Lethal in Nov and received it 1 week later. Beast of a blower.

Me, yes on he and dual fans. The crank support is specific to the 10 rib. I’m not going that route.

2 Qs for you Whipped boys...

1) how many of you are running the MFP crank support?
2) how many of you are running the oversized HE instead of the fans?

so you can run the heat exchanger and dual fans OR you can run the oversized heat exchanger and no fans right?

I know there's a six rib crank support for the coyote but not sure for the voodoo?

Im not sure no fans is a good idea. The two fans benefit in stop in go traffic where ac is concerned. Hot as hell in the summer here, thus why I went that route.

The only time fans really help is when your sitting in traffic or staging lanes. Once the beast is moving it will cool itself down.

I don’t have the fans and observed that the mct/iat2 rises rises to 20-25 over ambient as you drive and never really comes down even if you’re driving 75 on the interstate. Idling causes them to rise quick but that’s due to iat1 rising and it drops back as soon as you move. I’d be happy to provide a data log to anyone it might help. I’d like to compare to a log with the fans to see if they help.

I think the main culprit is the intercooler core picks up engine heat from the sc housing. If not for that, it really should have no problem getting mct back down to near ambient.

Do you have to std or the upgrade HE.

I have the standard but I have it on good authority that the upgrade LTR is worth 5 deg tops.
I went with the upgraded one so it's not worth the dough then.
I know my vmp 3 core with dual fans usually ran mid 120s during hot summer months.
