The whipple wait

Just placed my order for a Gen 5 , they said first week in November for delivery .
In other words 5 months ….and i paid for it in full already !!

Where did you order from? Whipple directly ?

My car was picked up by dealership today and install will be started Friday. Should have it back by Wednesday at the latest. FYI I had a early December order.

yea i haven't heard anything either from my shop. i called them this morning and they were gonna call me back but didnt. not sure if whipple only ships on fridays or mondays or what.

My guess is that they assemble them all week and push them out Fridays and Mondays. So if yours doesn’t ship that week then you didn’t make the cut. I’m going on 21 weeks of waiting. I know there is others who have been waiting even longer.

yea 29 weeks for me so far. it's been a bit all over the place with delivery dates. i'd imagine things would be getting produced/built quicker now that people are going back to work, but who knows.

Spoke with Lethal yesterday who stated I should receive shipping confirmation either Monday or Tuesday. Fingers crossed. I ordered 11/27 and almost at the 6 month mark.

Wow, they have over a 6 month lad time?. Did you have to pay full price up front or just a deposit untill kit was ready for shipment.

That’s so unacceptable man. Had us pay $10k up front to have to wait for 5 months plus? That’s ridiculous tbh. Could of applied that money elsewhere for the time being, then paid it when it was ready to actually ship. Who would of thought half a year wait is expected haha. Amazing product but dam what a heavy wait. Wish they were more transparent, inform us what parts they’re waiting on or what’s causing the hold up. Instead of the typical Covid related delays.

Sorry to hear you paid full price up front for a product not available and ready to ship. That's like paying $100,000 up front for a GT500 knowing you won't get the car for 6 months and you paying interest on that product for a product the company doesn't even have yet. Yikes. Good Luck

I ordered mine on Dec 5 thru a local shop who then ordered it thru Lethal. Just found out minutes ago that Box 1 arrived yesterday and Box 2 arrived today so ITS FINALLY HERE!! Hallelujah! It truly is a Happy Friday. Soon I'll be feeling the magic.
