1 thing after another with this car man. I get in and bam, I have a flat. This is a 305/30r19 tire and I have a 17” donut from my brothers Mustang for the time being. Will I be ok driving in a donut for a day or two whilst I wait for this new tire to come? I swear my luck has just been awful lately.

I would Stab a plug in there and drive it for a day or 2 if it doesn't leak........And then probably longer if the cords don't separate.

I did plug it, but I have a spare on it now.
It has a little bulge.

What’s the diameter of the spare vs your regular tire? Too much of a rotating difference and you’ll blow up your diff. That is, if it’s on the rear. I would not suggest ever putting a space saver on a front axle unless it’s moving it a short distance like in a yard or something below 25.

It’s significantly different.

Really anything more than an inch and I’d be worried about popping the diff. Pretty sure the manual even states something similar. They’re more meant for the stock 18” wheels.

When I got my 2016, Ford wouldn’t even let you buy the spare if you optioned the 20” wheels. It might have changed but that was their excuse. So I got a can of fix a flat instead.

Swap one of the front tires, putting the full-sized on rear and spare on front?

I've got the same luck when buying new tires. So much so, once I get home, I liberally sprinkle nails at the driveway entrance, then go back-and-forth several times.

With the nail in-between the tread and sidewall, I consider it toast. I would not use it, not attempt to repair it.

Usually repeated punctures are due to construction going on in an area you regularly drive through. All sorts of detritus gets dumped on the road by trades vehicles.

Hello; An uncle ruined the open differential on a car during a trip from Fla to KY years ago. Wrong sized spare.
Only good option is to run the spare on the front which assumes a square wheel setup.

next is drive on the plugged tire. i have had a plugged tire on my pickup for a few years now. The plug is on the edge between tread & sidewall. Some folks do not use plugs nor older tires. It's a crapshoot but i have seen worse on the road.

When I had my tire shop a customer came in for new tires and one of the old tires had two plugs in the same hole and in the side wall. He bought the tires and two days later he ran over a piece of steel that went into the side wall, and the first plug didn't do the job, so he put in a second plug and that stopped the leak. He drove that car until the tires were bald with two plugs in the side wall, claims it never leaked. He had no tire warranty and refused to buy another tire. This isn't something I would do, but it worked for him.
