It WOULD be you. I don't know if any LB 350's in the area. I have however seen one GB 350 in our area.
haha. I kind of figured.

The car will be here tomorrow, so I'm gonna put it in the garage until the rain stops Thursday or Friday. I need to smog it and get a VIN verification completed. Once the weather improves, I'd be up to meeting for coffee or something.

Who do you guys recommend for installing a clear bra in the Sacramento Area? Genesis? I've used them before. I want to get the windows tinted and a clear bra installed on the front of the car. I also want to have Cquartz Finest applied after a paint correction. Detail Maniac seems to be highly rated on Yelp, so I may check them out for that.

Genesis handled my clear bra and tint. Very well done and no complaints from me. Their customer service has been top notch as well. When you call in ask for Casey and Let them know I referred you in, they should hopefully help you out a bit on price. My car will be going to Detail Maniac soon for the ceramic coating. The owner is a cool dude.

The vin verification and smog check suck, but shouldn't be a big deal. Get some miles on the car before smog to be sure your sensors are all ready to go.

I bought my Boss 302 out of state so I'm familiar with the vin check/smog test and licensing PITA. Like 50 Deep said, Genesis handled his car and it looks on par with the company who did mine. Let's chat before you take it anywhere?

I'll PM you my number. Have fun with your baby tomorrow :)

I had an idea. Now I am in the process of covering the holes in the trunk. Stripes came off easy enough with some heat, but now I am at a point of no return.

Let's see how it turns out

That's a tough call on the plate. Can't believe the new one wasn't already taken, especially in California. I'm a Han Solo fan but your car is constantly evolving T so either way is great. Happy New Year, stay safe out there and let's meet up in 2017 brother.

there should be a requirement that an owner provide an R serial number before purchasing R parts

Uh oh. Someone sounds a little bitter.

How much of a markup did you pay for yours?

Pretty sure the wing is carbon fiber and not the actual R wing. Either way, it looks great on this car.

I'm sure you are proud of your R and you should be, its a great car, but no need for elitism.

Most people aren't trying to be disingenuous, and even if they are, you shouldn't feel threatened, you know what you have. Take it as a compliment.

i'm not bitter...R owners pay a premium for a reason and I don't want/like to see R parts on non-R cars...or Shelby parts on cars that aren't Shelbys...but if I have to explain it, you won't understand...that being said, it DOES look good!

Sorry mate but that's how you are coming off.

Also i hate to be the bearer of bad news but shelby america sells a whole pile of shelby parts so that you can put shelby parts on a non shelby car.

Ford did this with certain GT500 KR parts. Turned into a bit of a debacle. Once Ford was no longer required to maintain the parts for warranty/service requirements, they dumped them (they were made available via closed auction to FPP warehouse distributors, etc). The parts were then sold to the public for far less than what they were being sold for previously. Some KR owners were upset that "regular" GT500 owners were able to purchase the parts and then place them on their "lesser" model (and at a great price).

FPP has a similar policy in effect regarding the purchase of a Track Pack/R TR3160 transmission in that a prospective buyer has to prove that they have a Tech Pack car. The net result is a turned off buying public.

Either by artificially hiking the price to all but eliminate their purchase or by instituting certain purchase requirements, one thing is for sure - the parts will be expensive to purchase at the dealer level as economies of scale will not be allowed to occur. This in effect drives the aftermarket to come up with alternative solutions such as the R "style" wing that T installed on his GT350.

Just prepare yourself for the flood of parts after a few years when once again, Ford dumps their inventory.
