A little vague don't you think --- where exactly is the hypocrisy?...Lets get back on topic, these ADM/dealership vs. Tesla model dialogues are a complete waste of time! Either you're willing to buy at an escalated price because you want to be at the front of the line, or you wait until the market prices adjust themselves. Then you must be against the dealer model, right? RIGHT? I mean what with all the government regulations that protect dealers. Regulations that were put in place BY dealership associations and their lackeys in state governments.
The hypocrisy here is unbelievable and you aren't fooling anyone.
If people want to support the dealership model because it aligns with their interests, fine. But don't pretend that it has anything to do with a free market. You cannot be pro-free market and pro-dealership. They are diametrically opposed.
Regardless of what anyone thinks about this posting on Ebay, the VIN is real and is for a GT350. I ran it on the VIN decoder on the Ford Truck Enthusiast site and it came back with all the correct pricing and specs. I also tried to run the Ford window sticker program, but it came up as invalid.I know the guy, he's legit.
It's having its V8 removed, in preparation for his 2025 fuel economy standards. :tsk:where my obama car at??
Buhaha!!! +2It's having its V8 removed, in preparation for his 2025 fuel economy standards. :tsk:
I hear your point, but these dealers only have one or two cars to sell with ADM while the other manufacturers above have EVERY car they make selling at those prices. All it takes are one or two cars for them to profit off and they're good.I think this talk of ADM is exactly that...talk. The dealers are going to ask the moon but at the end of the day it really matters if people walk in and pay it. I for one don't think you will see the ADM really stick around. You will have a few of the die hard Mustang guys that just got to have it but you start asking $65-$70k for this car and people are going elsewhere. The competition is just too strong. Think about it...
GT350 $47,870 MSRP + $10k ADM = $57,870 MSRP
1. Corvette Stingray ($55,000)
2. BMW M3 ($62,000)
3. Porsche Cayman S ($63,800)
4. Cadillac ATS-V Coupe ($60,465)
5. Mercedes C63 ($63,900)
6. Audi RS5 ($70,900)
The list goes on... Sorry but the vast majority of buyers, including me, are going elsewhere if they try to sell the GT350 for $60 or $70k. Sorry but the M3 is a ridiculous car for the money and you can buy them for less than MSRP, close to invoice even, all day long. With that said I hope my dealer honors the MSRP deal. At that price the car is absolutely worth it. Don't compare this car to the Hellcat. That car offered something that no car could match HP / straight-line performance wise. People will pay a premium for that.
