The ADM bug is rampant... In my search for a Focus RS, I've been encountering $10-15K ADMs regularly... On a Focus. Smh.

I am interested in a Focus RS but will be patient to see what kind of performance this pocket rocket provides after reading a number of reviews?

If my memory serves me right the reported zero to sixty times was 4.7 seconds and from my standpoint that is very disappointing considering this is an all wheel drive vehicle with ~350 H.P. Something does not seem right here?

Lastly, I built one on line some time ago and the price came to ~$43,300 which is not cheap for the amount of car here and if there is an ADM on these cars then there is not a hope that I would spend $50K or more on this car.

It's gonna be a a fantastic car. I'm looking forward to it. I know of two available... One is Blue and the other Gray. Possible you may can get it at MSRP or close...

I want to buy a GT350R but it seems so out of reach with mark ups upward of $20-30k. Every single dealer I called locally here would not budge below that. *sigh*

it's a nice car.

I appreciate the offer and I would order Blue but I am going to sit back and see what kind of performance reviews it gets based on the reported slow zero to sixty time but suggest that you are correct and that it will be a winner but will take my time nonetheless.

Good luck in your attempts. It's pretty near impossible now to find an R even with a decent ADM. Word is out about its performance.

I bet dealers are just trying to ride the GT350s success in asking ADMs, but I dont see ADMs standing for long. 4.7 is the 0-62mph so possible 4.5 or so 0-60

i never though id say this, but the RS would be more appealing to me with a DCT. Might be a decent DD in that form. I sit in too much traffic to drive a full manual daily

Especially not in the bay area. Many of us have bought our cars out of state (mostly standard GT350s)

I agree... This would be the first car I would consider a DCT for as well.

The 4.7 sec 62 mph doesn't phase me one bit. The car likely has a tall first gear just like the 350. I'm sure a few changes to the intake, exhaust and a tune will get it around 425hp and a 4.0 sec 60mph easily.

Is there a thread that discuss how to buy out of state? Wouldn't I have to pay tax and retrofits for CA emission? I thought about that but just don't know how to go about. Thanks.

I believe all new Fords meet CA emission standards - they are 50 state certified.
