I might have to start looking out of the state. I went to a dealer today and listed on the window was $20k ADM and I talked to the manager and he said that he will not go a penny under $10k even though I told him that there were several local dealers that were advertising $5k ADM. He said that he could by one at $5k through the dealers brokers network... blah, blah.... I told him that even if he bought it at that price he would still have to get someone to buy it, But they don't care, its a money maker opportunity and even if I showed up with cash they wouldn't sell. Plus the longer it sits there they use it as a show piece to attract others. Its all BS and it wont stop.
I paid msrp about a month ago locally. While searching, I found several in central Texas for msrp. From CA, would be a nice little road trip.;)

2018 Shelby ADM

I am predicting that with the new 2018 Mustang tweaks, the base GT350 will go for MSRP. Perhaps changes to the GT350 may make them more desirable and dealers could continue scam [I get it, it's market forces only] ADM...say like the Shelby gets a DCT. But with the GTs getting the optional mag-dampers, another perf pack choice, and a fast-as-hell 10spd auto, I suspect the Shelbys may sit on lots longer with an "ADM" sticker next to the window sticker. We will see....

Someone help me on this. What exactly makes adm on these cars feasible? Think back to the 03 Cobra. That was a king of the hill Mustang, but people would've laughed in your face trying to charge $20k over for one. What has made this practice so ok on a car like the Mustang?

Looks like you're in CA. That is the problem. Look out in the midwest and you will find one at MSRP. I keep an eye on eBay and all the dealers looking for MSRP seem to be in the midwest or Texas.

Texas is loaded with them. Friday and Saturday are the perfect days to get MSRP or lower. Last chance to get another one moved before year end for many dealers. Search Cars.com in the Dallas or Houston area and take your pick. I got MSRP last new years eve in Dallas. Most 350's sold by any state and now there is lots of inventory not bound by the recall.

delivery from out of state

New to the site and wondering about taking delivery on a 2017 GT350 in Nor Ca. from Wy. Dealer has said its not a problem registering in CA.
What steps should be taken to ensure its delivered show room condition?
I too can't seem to find a GT350 without a ADM of 10K to 20K in Ca. and was told that no Shelby goes without ADM, which is untrue.

I found one the way I wanted at MSRP but it was too far away, I wanted to be able to see it first, I willing to go about 700 miles from home

Good deal! I live in Northern California and bought outside of Dallas, TX for $400 under MSRP. I could have probably negotiated more off but they had other inquiries on the car, it was exactly what I wanted and it wasn't held up by the recall. I had another dealer offer me $2,100 under MSRP but it was on recall hold and had white instead of black stripes.

My vehicle gets delivered tomorrow and the Texas dealership collected all of my local tax (8%) and DMV fees ($491). They are going to hold the paperwork while I get it emissions tested and have the VIN verified by a DMV representative. I'll then FedEx those items to them and they'll then overnight it to the California DMV. They went out of their way to try to be helpful to me.
