I'm still waiting for pics of this M5.

Seriously man, it seems like this car isn't for you.

You guys just want that R dont you. Besides my posts, which I really dont know why some of you get all bent out of shape for, what really drives most of you nuts is I got this insane deal on this car and you say how can a troll like this guy will get an R for under 75k.

I will post a picture of my buyer's order if the deal happens so you believe me.

Unfortunately you are wrong. I chose to buy a base even though I could afford an R (and unlike you i was able to make a decision for myself without begging strangers on a forum to make decisions for me). I could care less about the fictitious car(s) you are talking about. I just think it's funny how incredibly needy you are and how you crave attention from a bunch of strangers so that you can feel validated and part of something. It's funny but it's actually kind of sad. The more I think of it the more sorry for you I feel.

Guilty of asking that question previously. It just ain't right!
haha no worries sir, but it just speaks to this guy's insanity....like if you have to pay sales tax on the extra 7k of a 60k car and it's a hangup, maybe he's in over his head!

Is it just me or does he strike anyone as a teenager who is completely lost in life and needs to feel some sort of validation? Very few successful adults act like this...

If the deal is so "insane" as you state then why have you not bought the car? You are all over the place on this..

No, just no. No one really gives a shit how "insane" of a deal you "might" get. We want you to

1) Buy the damn car already, stop speculating/trolling and become a productive member of this forum

2) Don't buy the car, leave the forum, go back to the M forums and let them know about the great lease deal you got.

I think there is a third option too.

3.) Don't by the car. Stop speculating/trolling and become a productive member of this forum.

I could care less if he even owns a car. I just want him to stop the dam trolling. And stop people from quoting him :D

Just did a check of a dealership I drive by everyday to and from work. Koon's Ford of Sterling, VA had six 2016 GT350s (one R) about 1 to 2 months ago. They are now down to two track 2016's with 4K ADM (60k). They have four 2017s at "around 15K" ADM. I expect they will go down in a couple of months with winter upon us.

It seems there is an increasing amount of used 350's hitting the market. 3 on car-max and some on EBay. Prices are comming down. Why buy new with these ADMs.
I went by ford dealer today to get a oil filter for $21 not bad. They just sold their 17 R for $25K over invoice. Oh yeah I would not let them change my oil. They are not getting any of my business.

The only reason I won't buy used is I know how I beat on a car and don't want a car someone might have beat on worse. Especially since the GT350 is quite the capable track car.

I'm going to be honest here and this is what is bothering me about the R. Now before you read, as much as this clearly is not the right decision for me. I am looking for ways to convince myself that it is.

When I think about these two cars, I see these problems:

- Cost:60,620 vs 74,300 + 1,000 (seats) + 2,000 (new set of PSS) tires = The difference is around $17,000.
- Practicality: The front splitter on the R costs $4,600? It was at some point $1,600 but the price when back up to $4,600 again. I am going to daily drive this car, can you imagine what will happen to it? Then there are the wheels. I am not going to spend another 3-4k on a new wheel set just so that I can keep these wheels clean and perfect. Whats the point of getting an R then? I will use them of course.

So in reality, I am paying $17,000 more for the same car with some upgrades. Not to mention, this car with its expensive splitter and wheels doesnt sound like a car that you want to drive to walmart or to the beach. I seriously will though. I will park my M5 in the garage except when it snows because I got a brand new set of snow tires for it, and I will use the R for anything from driving to the train station to school to beach to groceries to you name it.

You see why even at 7k over I am hesitant? First the cost difference is almost 30%, its not just "7k". It sounds like it but its not. Then even after having paid all that there is a good chance I will fuck something up with either the splitter or wheels and feel really bad?

Not even go into the loudness of the exhaust from a practicality perspective and how it will wake up my neighbors at 7am. I honestly dont care about that one:)

Lastly I also think that given the success of this car, Ford will use the same CF wheels etc in the new car. While Vodooo will retain its iconic status, I hardly believe these R specific things will stay unique making the car less desirable (not worth ADM).

Convince me to buy this car given all its negatives:)
You are literally the biggest joke to have ever stumbled upon the internet. If you are the teenage troll that most here think you are, I honestly feel sad for you.

There is a BIG difference in posting a few threads asking about opinions on things when considering a major purchase, as trepidation regarding certain aspects of the buying process can be certainly legitimate. However your constant questioning of ridiculously stupid proportions on varying subjects is absurd. Are you completely unable to make any decisions for yourself?

It isn't that difficult. EVERYONE knows the merits/benefits of an R vs a normal 350, as well as the perceived "negatives". Those negatives are simply the benefits of the R, when considered from a daily driven perspective. If you are daily driving the car, then the R is a stupid choice IMO. If it is not daily driven and you can afford the R/found a real allocation/built vehicle, I think you would be equally stupid to not buy it instead of the normal 350.

Just make up your own dam mind already. The splitter is slightly lower yes and the car is lower, yes you will scrape more often, but FFS everyone KNOWS THAT ALREADY. Likewise with the carbon wheels. Nobody can make up your mind on this or make a decision for you.
