So you wouldnt recommend pursuing a take off set and installing it? It didnt look that bad from the youtube videos i saw lol.

If you were really wanting stock then do Sync3. It's supposed to be a lot better than 2. I myself can't wait to get a replacement for the Sync2 in my car. From what I have seen available so far the I-5 Autohaus is what has my attention. The only thing that matters in the end though, is what you like.

I was just looking for a unit that supplies to a car manufacturer. Something reliable. It seems like the units mentioned earlier in this thread had quality control issues. That shouldn't happen for the cost of that unit!

So a straight up replacement? That's going to be the units like from raxiom etc. They probably won't run Android if that's what your looking for as they have to integrate with Ford stync and don't actually replace any of the audio components that matter. You basically get a screen with nav.

That instagram account getting deleted or seller changing their name wouldnt stop me from buying one on ebay. The eBay user looks to have good feedback and eBay generally offers some protection. There's a level of accountability if they were to screw someone over.
