Tail light at start

Hello everybody

Has a strange problem.

When I start the car with a pressed brake, the right tail light has a short break.

Looks pretty bad.




Do you have this problem also?

This is not done when the brake is not pressed.

Nope but considering you're in Switzerland, most likely your car was modified by the dealer or whoever sold it to you in order to comply with European laws. If I'm not mistaken, even thought Switzerland is not in the EU you still have to get orange turn signals. But that mod is dependent to each dealer. I saw on mine that he opened up the tail lights from inside in order to change or modify it.

That mod might fuck up some contacts or the links to the rear side of the BCM. I'd open the trunk, pop out the light and check the connections especially the brake line in the light socket. If that doesn't improve anything, I'd check the brake line to the BCM.

If you want I can post the schematic of the tail-lights.

Normally only the blinker is changed in switzerland.
(So that they do not run from the inside outwards.)

But I have seen that it is the same with him here.

The wire looms and connections from the light to the BCM.

I need to check mine, but I don't think that the US spec lights sequence like that for a brake press. They only sequence for turn signals. May be some aftermarket part was added and not working correctly.
