Thanks Snoopy, I made a post in the infotainment thread and apparently this was released in August just before the map update. I did both updates in September so I don’t know why I am getting a notification saying it’s available for my car 🤷

Where you able to update the status using the xml file that was on the USB drive. The xml file is generated when the install is complete and you have to go on the Ford website so you can upload it to Ford. This lets them know when the update has been installed on your car.

I think a lot of people on here didn't get that file upon completion including me. The update worked but Ford thinks I don't have it.

Did you look in the SyncMyRide folder on the USB drive?

Hi Earl. The XML reporting hasn't worked for me for the last two updates. The first one had a screwed up file, the last one, no file at all. Sure enough the download site still says I have 21194 available. I'll worry about it when the next update comes out.

I didn’t get that file either even though the car said the upload was complete.

You might try to check for the update using WI-Fi in the car. This worked for me when I was having trouble uploading the file. I just checked for updates using the touch screen in my car and it updated Ford.

I reported the update with the XML file and Ford's site says I am up to date. Despite that, I still got a message on the app that an update was available.

Updated it by USB drive and the car accepted it. I tried loading the xml file back to Ford but it hasn't been accepted and so the Ford site still shows it need the update. No response from Ford on their recommended Twitter support. (I so miss when they didn't push "chat" help to social media and actually had live support at the end of a chat!!!) And don't even ask me about how the maps update is going -- it isn't. Getting "invalid VIN" message from the update site and the in-car update doesn't even see it. Frustrating!!!! Come on, Ford. You can do better than this!

An hour into the upgrade it was stopped because the update indicator bar wasn't even 25 percent filled.

Are you talking about the download from Ford's website to your computer or from the USB to your car?
I downloaded the files from Ford to a 16G flash drive that was empty before the download. Then I attempted to download the files on the flash drive using the USB port on the GT500 but an hour into the download it was around 10 percent done.
