Did you the three or four posts before yours? That’s what we were discussing.Did anyone confirmed the update on Ford sync site by uploading the xml file (usb install)?
I get "Upload failed. Please try again later. " when I try to do it. I did find it in the SyncMyRide folder...
Also, installation was very quick for me, it said "installing" for a few minutes only... and then "you can remove the usb media, the system will be updated at next restart" or something.
Thanks
If available, yes. Updates contain things you cannot see.Dumb question: I have a '19 GT base with the small screen (not touchscreen).. Should I still get the Sync update, would it change anything ?
Same here. It might have been all background stuff.I have the update and I cant see any difference
What download, I used USB method, not wireless stuff... It takes all of 3-4 minutes to load over usb...Did you the three or four posts before yours? That’s what we were discussing.
Also the complete download takes 25-30 minutes so anything less than that may not be complete. Check the build # in the about Sync screen.
Hey ................ At leastthats actually true in a way. Lol. A fully loaded hdd actually weighs more, than the same drive empty.@Tomster ........ Our cars are now slower. The extra weight of the data heave down load is the issue.
you are talking micrograms but it’s true.
Apology accepted, just do not do it again. Just busting you. I’ve done it too (and been called out for it)Sorry for causing you trouble sir, I apologize. I will go in my hole and never come back here.
FYI, from cyanlabs.net I updated my 2018/Nav from 3.0.19205 to 3.4.20282. Got the new blue screen but don't notice any performance improvements to the interface. Bad thing is legal nannys got more intrusive, not letting me browse my USB/MP3 collection as freely while car is moving unlike before. Can only change tracks within the current album, can't browse to different albums or artists. If car is sitting still then it's unblocked and everything is browseable. I have over 2000 albums on a 512GB portable SSD so trapping me in one album while driving sucks.
I dont think anyone has had any success with the after update reportThe update succeeded, and the effective build number is good (21020). But this last part does not work.
I know it does not affect anything! But I just want to be a good person and submit the damn telemetry. And they won't let me.
Part of Ford's anti distracted driving campaign. There are a number of settings that are grayed out while driving. You can thank Tesla for this bs.FYI, from cyanlabs.net I updated my 2018/Nav from 3.0.19205 to 3.4.20282. Got the new blue screen but don't notice any performance improvements to the interface. Are you aware that all car manufacturers have done this since the first screens came out? My 05’ Jag did it. If you want to thank anyone it would be the lawyers who had liability concerns.Part of Ford's anti distracted driving campaign. There are a number of settings that are grayed out while driving. I'm aware that I like Ford's 2018 infotainment software version better than their 2020 version and will be downgrading. Are you aware that all car manufacturers have done this since the first screens came out?
