Sync3 - text messages not reading out iphone7

Since recently upgrading to an iPhone7, I've been unable to receive incoming text on the screen or have them read out. Message on screen says it's do do with my phone settings for Sync but I can't seem to find them. Any ideas? iPhone5 worked fine and I didn't have to do anything to get working.

I have been using apple carplay now for just over two years and for about 6 months of that time, nothing worked. Ok I am not using a Sync radio but the principle is the same. Whenever I upgraded my iphone, everything stopped working for a while. Even happened when there were some sofware updates on the iphone. Not a big fan of apple carplay. When it works, yeah it's great but it can have issues.

Check under Bluetooth settings on your phone that Show Notifications is enabled

And when the notification does appear, press 'listen' ;)!

Mine don't auto-read by default, but if I press listen it will.

Cypress98 pointed you in the right direction. You'll find the SHOW NOTIFICATION options by pressing the blue "i" to the right of SYNC. Let me know if you still run into issues!

I utterly despise CarPlay!

The killer for me was when clicking the nav button it shows the entire UK with a blue dot somewhere down south. Having to zoom in each time ended my time with carplay.

Could be brilliant but it's disabled in my GT. Sync3 works better imho.

Good to know we have support from Ford tech team
All sorted now - problem was in the Bluetooth menu 'show notifications' not being selected.

Lol, fuckkk that, I don't have my Emails come through. Would do my head in. Personal phone is sync'd with the car, rather than Work phone.
