SYNC Scheduled Maintenance...

Yesterday my SYNC turned black for a couple of minutes and I got this:

Probably automatic update. I was digging through the options on my SYNC 3 setup and saw the option so I assume that.

Sirius/XM does channel updates every month or two.

I got that before. It was incredibly annoying because it happened in the middle of a road trip while I was using the navigation. No warning, no option to postpone the update.

My Sync2 did that all the time when it crashed.

Haven't had a single issue with sync3 yet.

Exactly. I see it after a tune update or disconnect of the battery.

Since the message says "scheduled maintenance", I am assuming that it means it is just doing a scheduled update, and not because of a crash.
"Scheduled" being the key word here.

Being in the software industry myself, we dont like advertising crashes. It's nicer to confuse people with thinking it was intended.

But I think that's just the default boot screen message. It does happen after any reset, crash, update...

This can be an indication that SYNC is trying to resolve an issue. The best way to handle this if it becomes consistent is to perform a master reset.

OK. As I stated, it was just an assumption. As one poster here also said, the word "scheduled" is being used to deceive people. I guess it worked in my case. I have gotten that message twice in my 13 Explorer.

Yeah, it was a crash and reboot. As long as it does not happen too often, no big deal.
