SYNC Automated Maintenance

I have a 2015 GT Premium with the Shaker Pro system. This morning for third time since I took delivery back in 2014, at engine start, the radio went silent, then the display went blank, and after approx. 2-3 min, a message came on the screen saying "Performing System Maintenance". Then another 2 min and the radio came back on and the display went back to the 4 quadrant display.

I have SYNC 2 with all but the last updates installed. So what maintenance is it doing? And no, it's not installing the last SYNC update.

It's a Sync 2 thing, you either disconnected your battery or haven't started your car for a long time

Thank you for replying. The battery was not disconnected and I drove my car less than 12 hours before. So it's not a power issue.

I concur with this statement, when ever the battery gets low or disconnected you will get this message, I was having battery issues
