Sync & iPhone 6

After re=pairing, I am able to make and receive phone calls, but my text messages are not read through the sync system like it does with onstar. Is the sync system supposed to announce and allow me to respond to my text messages??

I haven't tried it with an iPhone, but it works with my Galaxy S5, so it seems like it should work.

Android and iOS are totally different animals.

I get my texts read to me with my Windows Phone so the feature is there but maybe not for IOS.

The point being that the functionality is there on the car side, and works.

Apple doesn't allow text messages to be transferred to sync. Part of their security they say.

My iPhone 6 plus reads my text messages through sync!

This has not worked for me with on an iPhone 4 in the past in other Sync equipped cars. It has worked for me with Android though.

just tried it and now it works with my iPhone 5
