SYNC 3's map data is embedded and will be easy to update via USB. When a navigation update is available, you will be notified on the process to obtain it.
No word on Android Auto or CarPlay yet. We're still working with Apple and Android to get both features implemented. Always keep an eye on our Media site for announcements: Media.Ford.com

Don't take any offense to this as I know you have no control over it but consumers need to know that information before making a purchase. That certainly could influence their decision.jmr061 & Sloan91,
