So, recently, I am having issues playing music through Spotify via my android auto on the sync 3 on my 2017 mustang. Everything works, the app opens, the music bar moves and you can see that the song is playing but nothing through the speakers

No such issues when I just play Spotify through the Bluetooth connection. Super confused.

Try playing music through Google Music or YouTube Music, if that works then know it's an issue with Spotify

Android auto can be really picky about the cable being used so maybe try a different cable. Also, I sometimes have to reboot my phone to clear up android auto niggles although it's normally Waze that stops working properly.

I have tried using a different cable as well as turning Bluetooth off etc.

Apparently this is a common issue with the galaxy note 10+ 5g

Will have try it with my brothers phone as he has the same phone to.

Wierd thing is that it was working perfectly fine and then I didn't use the car for 3 weeks, there must have been updates and bam it stopped working. So frustrating

The issue with problems like this is that Google will finger point to Samsung and Spotify and they will point fingers to each other except themselves, I'm left with a useless app.

Consider a Google Pixel phone and then you won't have issues as Google can't point the finger at itself.

Hi. I have this phone and a short 1cm cable. Never had any issues with Spotify.

Sync 3 on 2016 Mustang with Galaxy s10+, also had this problem. Can't remember what fixed it though as I wasn't far from home so just gave up and it's not happened since.
