Sync 3.4 - volume adjustment issues

When I first plug my Apple phone in and setup CarPlay, the volume changes to Prompt Volume or something like that. If I am listening to the Ford radio, it does not change back. It seems to get stuck in Prompt Volume. Both the buttons on the steering wheel and the knob on the dash do this.

Anyone else experience this?

This was an issue with an older version of Waze. Do you have the latest version installed?

That was the issue: Waze didn’t have to be on. An older version had a bug which made its volume control always run in the background. Try uninstalling Waze, if that fixes the issue you can attempt a reinstall to see if stays fixed.

It could also be because you’re running an older version of iOS. Newest version is 13.6.1

It is Waze. go to settings in waze, then Voice and sound, change to Alerts Only or Off while plugged in and Carplay is running

Top IOS for the regular iPhone 6 was 12, 13 for the 6S which is what I had before my IPhone 11.

I have been having the same issue with an iPhone on 13.7 and the latest sync. Haven't been driving much since ios14 but hasn't happened yet there that I noticed.
